As far as my memory takes me, I still remember vaguely the early years when our family lived in Shinjuku. Our little modest home had no heat and it was always cold.We used the gas furnace for a couple of hours before bed. I remember every morning waking up COLD, running into my parents room and crawling into bed in between them to warm myself. In those days, we had a clear shot of snow capped Mt. Fuji from my parents bedroom window. In this photo, my brother and myself are pictured "with mom" This photo was taken in 1956, when I was 2 years old
