Utah - Canyon Point & Sorrell River Ranch

The Utah afternoon sun, crisp, bright, sharp bursting  with colors. Alongside the Colorado River sits , Sorrell River Ranch, a family like resort. Wooden bungalows, cabins sit along the edge of the river. At 4pm on a July afternoon, this photo shows the lush deep green behind a red clay soil. Mesa after mesa litters the landscape.   Late afternoon horseback riding takes us along the river and then up towards the Mesa.

Canyon Point Utah, we visit the Amangiri Resort dead smack in the dessert. A view for our bedroom reveals the serenity of the dessert.  Deep Royal Blue skies, quiet gentle wind rolls across the plain. The quiet dessert reveals the power of nature.

As the day wears on, we quietly watch the sun melt down over the horizon. The clouds set in and gives to a magnificent sunset. Winds suddently kick up and we feel the chill in the air.

The Amangiri resort boasts an "Infinity Pool" carved out of a giantic rock formation that stabs across the center of the kidney shaped poo

The Amangiri Resort has been carved out of a side of a mountain in the dessert. Pictured here from a distance shows the resort nestled within the the mountains and rocks of Canyon Point dessert. Isolation and relaxation was at the ultimate. For those who need to unwind and clear their minds, a 3 day sojourn will do it.
