A Lone Cottage - Upstate NY

Driving onto Route 22 South from the hamlet of Hillsdale NY, we pass farms, valleys, farmer's market, horse stables.... As the road winds and curves over the peaks and valleys, in the far distances, cottages, farm houses sparsely scatter  the landscape. The vast mountain range opens to valleys, hills. This is a BIG country. Abundant vegetation, trees, a plethora of plants and wildlife. 

A lone cottage caught my eye and captured it. Standing in solitude behind this vast and powerful mountain. 

Lone Mountain Cottage 

Behind a backdrop of vast mountain forests, deep rich greens. The sun drenches the vegetation in full force only for those leaves to turn to red, gold, amber as the fall season approaches, before they fall to the ground giving way for winter to come.
