| Winter Silhouette at Breezyhill |
The winter winds down. The cold wind blows it's last breath before breaking to spring. On a cold winter day, as the day give to night, the sun sets behind a cloudless sky, trees devoid of leaves, branches behind a silhouette. As the sun melts down, and cold air crosses over the mountain and down the valley. We rush in to a warm, well light room, fire crackling in the background. Light up a hurricane lamp, settle in to an arm chair, snuggle behind a fleece throw.
Facing the west, the Catskill mountain range of Upper State New York reaches far into the horizon. Darkness finally envelopes this picturesque background. The sound of Pat Metheny, solo guitar piece in the background, until we doze off until morning.
While 120 miles from the bustling sounds of Manhattan, it feels as if we are a world away.
Peace, tranquility, solitude, deep in spiritual thought gives way to a gentle, calm state of mind.
Early June 2018, captured this image hereunder, Crescent Moon vs Sunset.
Fri. June 22- 2018 Summer Solstice.
This bizzare image was captured in upper state NY, near the border of Massachusetts and New York State. Dark menacing sky behind scatted clouds; breaks in between to allow ambient light. The speckled dots are points of light burning from homes across the valley.
