An old Farm Cottage, situated in " Taiyo no Mori" translated as; "Forest of the Sun" An abandoned cottage shows it's age, weathered by the harsh and cold Karuizawa winter.
Leaves scattered about, unattended, broken branches scattered atop the thatched roof.
No matter how we look at it, this cottage evicts a sense of old age, decrepit, abandonment, neglect. A stark contrast next to the beautiful manicured summer homes in Karuizawa. One of the few photos, shot in black and white.
