Karuizawa - Day Trippers

Karuizawa brought together a myriad of people, culture, background and classes. Day Trippers were a nuisance but a necessary course for the day. Locals from Gunma, Nagano, Saitama, all came to be seen and to be part of the growing  and popular summer resort.  Karuzawa also attracted the best of the worst, among those were  small time "Chimpira" (wiseguys) who really did not quite make it.  Captured here is a classic photo of small time chimpira "wanna be "  They pose for this photo with great enthusiasm and willingness.
